I've just built STk-2.2.0 on SunOS-4.1.1_U1-sun3 (after backporting all
the code to work with the standard SunOS compiler), and am also getting
the above exact same behaviour.

I'd sure appreciate any hints as to how this was solved, if indeed it

I'm also having trouble using the /local/bin/stk wrapper script. It
refuses to execute, giving me:

        ttyp7:<woods_at_most> $ /local/lib/stk/2.2/demos/hello.stk
/local/lib/stk/2.2/demos/hello.stk: syntax error at line 2: `;;' unexpected

I've ensured all the execute bits are on on the correct files, and that
the '#!' lines are correct too. For some reason /bin/sh ends up trying
to run the script -- is this perhaps a bug in SunOS 4.1.1_U1/sun3's
exec() interpreter file support? I'll give it a try on 4.1.4/sparc ASAP.

Note that if I run 'stk -file /local/lib/stk/2.2/demos/hello.stk'
everything works as expected.

BTW, as soon as I've tested everything, and worked around these two
problems, I'll make my patches available to compile STk on non-ANSI
